Family-Owned Business
We are a family-owned organic business. Like everyone dealing with food insecurities we wanted our family and extended family and members of our community to have delicious food whenever they needed it. During the pandemic we went into a large well know grocery store and the shelves were empty. My husband saw the panic on my face and said he needed to do something to ensure he never saw that panic from me again. That became the origin of our little farm. He had to ensure that his family never went without.
ABOUT DABACKYARD FARMS
Our garden started in our backyard during the summer of 2020 when we were on lockdown for the pandemic. We started planting a few things and we had a successful harvest. Since then, we expanded to 2 acers of land. We have been in business for almost a year. We are 100% organic. We don't use any pesticides, growth promoters, or herbicides. We want our produce to be natural like nature intended it to be.
